Pourquoi utiliserais-je le démarrage interne plutôt qu’une clé USB ?​

Le démarrage interne est facultatif. Si votre configuration de démarrage depuis une clé USB est fiable et convient à votre serveur, vous n’avez pas besoin de changer simplement parce que le démarrage interne existe.

Le démarrage interne résout quelques problèmes pratiques :

  • Il réduit la dépendance aux supports flash USB. Les périphériques SSD internes, NVMe ou eMMC sont généralement plus durables que les clés USB flash bon marché et risquent moins d’être heurtés, retirés ou endommagés.
  • Il prend en charge les périphériques de démarrage en miroir. Avec deux périphériques de démarrage internes, Unraid peut continuer à démarrer si l’un des périphériques tombe en panne.
  • Il fonctionne mieux pour les systèmes où le démarrage USB est peu pratique, exposé, peu fiable ou non privilégié par la conception matérielle.
  • Il vous permet de choisir un pool de démarrage dédié pour les appareils de démarrage uniquement, ou un pool démarrage + données lorsque vous souhaitez réserver une partie d’un appareil plus grand au démarrage et utiliser la capacité restante comme pool normal.

What should I do if I see "prohibited by secure boot policy" after enabling internal boot?​

Disable Secure Boot in your BIOS/UEFI settings, then reboot.

Unraid does not currently exclude internal boot drives from the attached device count. If you use mirrored internal boot, both boot devices count.

Specifically, attached storage devices include all devices present before array start, except one eMMC device and one USB device. See Licensing FAQ.

Internal boot uses ZFS, and a mirrored setup uses a ZFS mirror for redundancy. If one boot drive fails, Unraid continues running in a degraded state. Replace the failed device through the normal Unraid drive assignment flow to restore the mirror.

Après le démarrage du serveur, accédez à Settings → Onboarding Wizard, choisissez internal boot, puis terminez le basculement. Unraid copie la configuration de démarrage restaurée vers le ou les périphériques de démarrage interne sélectionnés au cours de ce processus.

Restaurez d’abord la sauvegarde sur une clé USB à l’aide du Unraid USB Flash Creator, puis démarrez à partir de ce périphérique USB restauré.

Après le démarrage du serveur, accédez à Settings → Onboarding Wizard, choisissez internal boot, puis terminez le basculement. Unraid copie la configuration de démarrage restaurée vers le ou les périphériques de démarrage interne sélectionnés au cours de ce processus.
